I have more than twenty-five years of experience in all facets of media and communication as a successful, self-employed small business owner. I’ve designed and upgraded hundreds of websites, written volumes of website content, etc., and am skilled in all aspects of social media.
My journalism experience spans more than twenty-five years. I spent seven years with the award-winning Expression Christian Newspaper in Pittsburgh as a staff writer, photographer, music editor, interim editor, and webmaster. For many years I also served as photographer for the long-running television program Lightmusic. After the departure of the show’s original producer/host I provided creative input and wrote several episodes.
Later, I was employed for seven years as the scriptwriter for His Place. Both shows were broadcast worldwide and won numerous awards. (Lightmusic: Billboard/Best Video Show three years in a row. His Place: Aurora Gold Award, Gabriel Award, The Communicator Award, and Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasting Award of Excellence/Public Affairs Program or Program Series. His Place was also a Family Net Award/Program Series finalist in 2001.) His Place returned to the air in October 2010 and I was on staff once again as the program’s script writer. The show has been on hiatus since June 2013.
My time behind the scenes with Lightmusic and His Place led to on air opportunities. I have done many interviews and small acting roles. I was also employed for several years as a radio personality and still hold my FCC license.
As webchyk, I have spent more than twenty years designing and maintaining websites that have collectively generated millions of dollars in sales.
In a nutshell, I am self-motivated and know how to get the job done!
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Theology from a major Christian university where I maintained a 3.83 GPA, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
I work and reside in my hometown, just south of Pittsburgh, PA.
